I don't think anyone goes to this forum, but here goes - I'm doing the clutch on my CBR. What's everyones opinion on soaking the fiber plates in oil? I've hear everything from a quick dip to letting them bath in a pan overnight.

All OEM and aftermarket instructions say to soak for about 15 minutes. Contrary to popular belief the Fibers do NOT become total impregnated with oil. Wet clutches rely on oil mostly as a heat removing rather than lubricating. Any other answer is false. (I am Pro Motorcycle teck with 20 years exp.)
