F1: Danica Patrick ‘Not Interested’ In Formula One
Budding NASCAR star Danica Patrick isn't looking to entertain a future in Formula One...

Danica Patrick has played down suggestions she might switch to Formula One.
Speculation the 30-year-old American could have a future on the Grand Prix grid was kindled by her high-profile pole position for NASCAR's prestigious Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in Florida.
Red Bull's Helmut Marko was quoted by Bild newspaper as saying while Patrick is not "on the top 10" of his list of promising F1-worthy candidates for the future, he would offer her a test.
According to Austria's Kleine Zeitung newspaper, Patrick described Marko's offer as "nice" but insisted: "I do not need to be in Formula One to have a full life."
She said she has "never been really interested" in exploring any F1 options.
"It is speculation in the media," she added, "but it has never been seriously discussed."
That is despite Williams test driver Susie Wolff admitting recently that Bernie Ecclestone is "massively pushing" for a female driver to be on the F1 grid.
"At some point I think in the future we will definitely see it happen," she said last week.
Danica is money and of someone from a team in Formula One dropped the right (HUGE) numbers on her-she'd be there in a heartbeat.
But they better get her soon because she is about to set herself in NASCAR and other American racing series very securely.
Little Bits has way more driving talent then her being pretty gets her credit for.
I still say had her team left her out at her first Indy she would have finished way up front.
She's simply not the caliber of driver needed to be competitive in Formula One.
I disagree.
Not only is she as good or better then Scott Speed ever was,Danica can bring enormous press to Foromula One just like she did to Indycar and NASCAR.
And the true irony is that, unlike any American road racing series, she would not find the Macho screw you attitude she has found in the American racing series scene.
She would actually have a chance and equipment to win races.
Danica gets a bad deal because she is very smart and is making as much money now as she can.
Danica does have racing skill and the desire to not just be a girl in a race car but a true race winner.
But time is running out on Danica quickly if she ever wants to try Formula One-she is young and extremely fast with her reflexs right now-in the prime of her racing life and she needs to be in a Formula One race car in the next couple of years soon to have any chance of being a race threat.
There would definitely be a learning curve for her to catch up to just how damn fast F1 cars react but believe me-she would love that and learn very quickly how to get the most out of any F1 car she was provided with to drive.
I am kind of bummed out that Danica is in NASCAR now because she will never get the drafts she needs to win races.
NASCAR is a team driving sport where good old boys let other good old boys draft them to win.
Danica is wasting her talents there-but making mad money in the process of doing that.
So good for her.
Danica and Milka are only worth a dam when they're on their backs in the car haulers....![]()

F1 doesn't want her and she isn't qualified for F1. She lacks the skill required. F1 is a road-only series, with absolutely no ovals, and DP sucks on road courses. When tuning into an IndyCar race, if you wanted to find Danica and if the race was a road course, you needed to search the back of the field because Danica liked it in the rear.
Further, to drive in F1 a driver must hold a Super License, and not just any driver can get them. Aside from the lofty expense of getting a Super License, which is only good for a single year, a driver must win a championship in a feeder series (NASCAR or IndyCar aren't feeder series for F1) or at least perform consistently well. They do have one option for Americans wanting to make it to F1, in that they would accept a driver who wins an IndyCar championship or at least in the top four, which DP has not. Her IndyCar championship finishing positions are 12th in 2005, 9th in 2006, 7th, 6th, 5th, 10th, and 10th in 2011. Her best IndyCar season finish is 5th, which isn't satisfactory for a Super License. Even if she did eventually qualify for and obtain a Super License, a team would then have to want her in their car, and mediocre road course history isn't going to convince teams that she has what it takes.
People need a reality check. Danica's track performance isn't on par with her hype.

She'd be a lap down within ten minutes. Virtually every female driver in Indycar history outperformed Danica on the roadies.
^hate on!
