Me? Did I say it wouldn't be a good thing? (I honestly don't remember)

    It should be great if:

    a) they fulfill their promises

    b) Bob Costas stays far, far, FAR away from the whole affair.

    I always enjoyed that, too.

Great news, imho. @willbuxton has been confirmed as part of the NBCSN F1 team. Tweet stream from just a few minutes ago:

    @NBCSN: Happy to announce our complete #F1 team: @leighdiffey @MrDavidHobbs @MrSteveMatchett & @willbuxton #F1onNBC

@willbuxton: I'm so delighted to be able to finally talk about the future with @NBCSN. Trust me folks, what these guys have got up their sleeves. WOW.

@willbuxton: So happy to be linking up with @leighdiffey, @MrSteveMatchett and @MrDavidHobbs again. F1 has a bright future in the USA with @NBCSN.

@willbuxton: Seriously excited. I know! Me! Excited! Who'd have imagined it? @NBCSN has so much planned. And they are so amped to have F1. Roll on 2013.

I would not question SPEED`s coverage of F1, I would question FOX`s refusal to open the check book

    Hello all,

FOX is converting the SPEED Channel into a regular sports channel. This means the SPEED.com website is basically a dead man walking and the Motorsports forums are as well. It appears our long love/hate relationship with these boards has run its course.

Several of the long term posters at SPEED.com have come together and looked at our options. NBC Sports’ message boards are a joke so we decided instead of being at their mercy we would establish an independent forum to continue where the SPEED boards left off.

We have named it Motorsports Mayhem.

    http://w11.zetaboards.com/Motorsports_Mayhem/index/

We have done this at no personal gain for ourselves. No one is making a dime off this site. All the revenue from the ads you will see is going to the forum hosting company Zetaboards.

The Moderation of the boards will be very hands off.

    Hope to see you there.

Oh look, the board is back up! It is so sad that we will now miss the excellent coverage from Speed. I just hope NBC will be as reliable as Speed was -- especially this very excellent message board.

We will see mega commercials as well as "Tape Delayed" and "Edited for Time Restraints". SPEEDTV may over do Nascar, But the F1 racing was LIVE 3 times per race weekend. Something tells me that we are going to get $#*^&ed out of 2nd Practice and maybe even Qualifying. So don't praise NBC just yet, Lets just wait and see where their racing hearts Really are. I'm betting it wont be what we are used to and love about SPEEDTV. Just my logical opinion. Matrix329

Well, I've tuned on for two nights in a row to watch Countdown to F1 and both times is wasn't airing even though it was listed on Comcast for the time slot...

Haven't found the Comcast listings to be all that accurate.

I would agree if it was on the Network, but it's the cable version, so they do a much better job. INDYCAR has expanded coverage for everything during the event, unlike when they only have the race on ABC. Same as F1 on the Fox Network. They show the race only. NBC Sports Net will show us everything and I hope it will stay that way.

NBC Sports started the season with FP-1 - On Time. Normal type commentary on the World Feed from F1.
