    If you Think that NBC.....

If you think that NBC is going to do a better job that SPEEDTV, I hope you are right. But decades of race watching on the "BIG 3" (ABC,NBC and CBS) have shown me that they are not there for the fans, They are in it for the Money from advertising. We will see mega commercials as well as "Tape Delayed" and "Edited for Time Restraints". SPEEDTV may over do Nascar, But the F1 racing was LIVE 3 times per race weekend. Something tells me that we are going to get $#*^&ed out of 2nd Practice and maybe even Qualifying. So don't praise NBC just yet, Lets just wait and see where their racing hearts Really are. I'm betting it wont be what we are used to and love about SPEEDTV. Just my logical opinion. Matrix329

They're going to show all 5 F1 track sessions each race weekend. Speed doesn't do that. Did they ever?

Also, Leigh Diffey told me on a tweet that NBCSN is sending him (&Matchett & Hobbs?) to Winter Testing for "season prep". This is huge, imho, and already shows a level of commitment never witnessed with Speed.

Yep. All sessions broadcast live, plus all sessions streamed live, as well. Four races on NBC all shown live (Canada, UAE, USA, Brazil). No delayed braodcasts for any session at any time. The only issue I have is, I can't stand Liegh Diffey yelling at me. Drives me up a f****** wall.

There is one thing I will miss about Speed. I loved the live streaming of P1 and P3 with no commentating of any kind. I really enjoyed listening to the natural sounds that were produced from the F1 circus. It made me almost feel like I was actually in the paddock or sitting in the stands.

The one thing I will love with NBC is the live streaming of the race. When I was traveling, if the hotel we were staying at didn't have Speed (which was a majority of the time), then I was out of luck. I won't have to worry about that anymore.

We shall see about live streaming of the race, however, it does sound good, though. NBC sending the comentators to the tracks? Hmm, maybe they are serious about this. Anyhow, I cannot say anything bad about Leigh Diffey, however, I do get the yelling comment though. Hopefully, they will gel like with Bob, must admit that the the Speed crew does an A1 job on F1 broadcasts, probably some agree that they are even at the top. Still, no matter how much F1 says they need America, they do not, and will not cater to the US.
We shall see about the coverage, however, as someone pointed out before that NBC got lots of flak for its terrible coverage of the Olympics, which was deserved, there is not any Americans to focus on, currently in F1.

    Hello all,

FOX is converting the SPEED Channel into a regular sports channel. This means the SPEED.com website is basically a dead man walking and the Motorsports forums are as well. It appears our long love/hate relationship with these boards has run its course.

Several of the long term posters at SPEED.com have come together and looked at our options. NBC Sports’ message boards are a joke so we decided instead of being at their mercy we would establish an independent forum to continue where the SPEED boards left off.

We have named it Motorsports Mayhem.

    http://w11.zetaboards.com/Motorsports_Mayhem/index/

We have done this at no personal gain for ourselves. No one is making a dime off this site. All the revenue from the ads you will see is going to the forum hosting company Zetaboards.

The Moderation of the boards will be very hands off.

    Hope to see you there.
