It seems to me that the tire manufacturer Pirelli has too much control over who wins these races.
Why not give the decision on what two grades of tire a team will use in a race to the teams themselves? This would further level the playing feild and add another nuance to team strategy wouldn't it? The teams would choose a combination that would favor their car set-up and design for a better performance which would make the racing even more competitive.
Just a thought, what do you think?
Hello all,
FOX is converting the SPEED Channel into a regular sports channel. This means the SPEED.com website is basically a dead man walking and the Motorsports forums are as well. It appears our long love/hate relationship with these boards has run its course.
Several of the long term posters at SPEED.com have come together and looked at our options. NBC Sports’ message boards are a joke so we decided instead of being at their mercy we would establish an independent forum to continue where the SPEED boards left off.
We have named it Motorsports Mayhem.

We have done this at no personal gain for ourselves. No one is making a dime off this site. All the revenue from the ads you will see is going to the forum hosting company Zetaboards.
The Moderation of the boards will be very hands off.
Hope to see you there.

Blah, blah, blah...let's go racing.
Do away with the multiple compound requirements - one compound/construction that won't last race distance is all that is needed.
