Too bad... it was a great race. Very entertaining.

Will that open up Indy Car?

IndyCar's already set for 2013. But that is a market they would like to get back into, and would love to replace the Canadian race they lost when Edmonton didn't re-up.

So where does Nationwide go? It would be a riot if it was a support race at the Grand Prix of America in NJ. Talk about a crash of two worlds, LOL. Never mind, these guys on a street course, that wouldn't be pretty.

Laguna Seca. Cleveland Grand Prix with Nationwide, Continental Tire, and new touring car series. Hey, a guy can dream, right?

Octane went bankrupt, this is why they dropped Edmonton. They literally goaded NASCAR into leaving, so they wouldn't get sued by breaking the contract. Octane cannot afford it appears to hold these races. Formula 1 though is heavily subsidized by the government.

The press release I read said the NASCAR will fill the race slot in the calendar and prefers to explore markets where there isn't a current NASCAR race from one of the top 3 tours. I can see NASCAR going to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (formerly Mosport).
