Well, they have been saying "SPEED2-The Future of Motorsports" for a while now, I guess the future is sooner than we all thought.

Imagine an Internet where everyone pats each other on the butt and says "Good post "

I could totally accept an online-only SPEED channel as long as we still lots of great motorsports coverage. Of course the problem is, for some RIDICULOUS reason, my cable tv provider needs to "allow" SPEED2 for me to watch it online!? We can only hope that changes.

This chnage doesn't bode well for motorsports fans, one way or another. I fully expect that when SPEED changes to FOX SPORTS, we'll get full live coverage of NASCAR, probably keep the Truck series coverage (god I hope), and full coverage of Formula 1. But other than that, you can kiss every other motorsport SPEED covers goodbye, or relegated to SPEED 2 (or whatever SPEED 2 will be.)

Oh well, there's always "ways" on the internets to find what we want to watch. But live or same-day coverage of our favourite motorsports in glorious HD is probably dead in the water.

Yeah I don't understand that either. I even contacted by Cable provider about it shortly after it launched and they basically told me that they have no control over that kind of stuff and they have no reason to block anybody from watching it, they brought up ESPN3 and how that has nothing to do with the Cable Provider but instead your Internet Provider and that how SPEED2 should be the same way.

As of the 2013 season SPEED/FOX/NewsCorps will no longer carry F1 in the USA. It hasn't been officially announced who has taken over yet but it's strongly pointing towards the NBC Family of networks (most stuff on NBC Sports Network with a few races being on the main NBC).

Most importantly, what is going to happen to Speed2.com???? Who is going to have the US rights to all that international road racing?
