Can Max pull out the Championship Win

If Max Biaggi can continue with his recent found form he has a good chance of winning but Melandri, Sykes and others won't make it easy. Nevertheless, WSB and WSS are the best series for fans. Hope Biaggi retains his form and continues next season. To bad Spies didn't come back to WSB as that would be interesting.

There's no reason he shouldn't do it. The others definitely won't make it easy but if he stays upright he should be able to do it.

I believe Max can do it but it sure wont be easy. I think Melandri will crumble under all the pressure IMO

Two great races and Max squeaks it by 1.5 points and not a mention on here. This place really did die.

I think it was only a half a point, wasn't it?

Exciting racing, as usual, that's for sure.

There was so much going back and forth between the announcers I wasn't sure what the final score was.

Biaggi not a deserving champ; bad for WSB

A week behind in my viewing but I had heard the result of the WSB finale last weekend and couldn't bear to watch the recording until today. Biaggi barely squeaks out the title despite having - by far - the best bike on the grid. He only won the races where the Aprilia could blow by others on the long straights, and whenever there was a real "fight" he was always topped by riders with more grit and talent. Combine that with the fact that Melandri rode the last three rounds like a complete knucklehead and Sykes got zero help from his fellow Brits, and Biaggi ends up with a title that he really didn't deserve. You could argue that he deserved it because he won it, but he certainly didn't win it like a champion should, crashing in race 1 and needing Guintoli to have his 15-seconds-of-fame moment to take points away from Sykes.

What's worse is his win puts the entire WSB series in a bad light because it's won by a(nother) guy who is past his prime and seen by most as a MotoGP reject. At least when Spies won the title a few years ago he was a rising star who was winning the tough fights despite not having the best bike on the grid. If you put Biaggi on anything other than the Aprilia this year I doubt he would have even finished in the top 5, and he certainly wouldn't have did what Sykes did on that Kawasaki.

Completely mystified why Biaggi has so many fans...he only wins when he's on the best bike. Ironically, Biaggi now has two WSB titles and Haga, who came close several times, has zero despite the fact that he was a much better WSB rider than Biaggi.
