I sure do miss the old format of "Speedweeks". In fact, you cant even technically call it that anymore because it no longer incompasses a full two weeks. And Speedweeks doesn't even tie into the 24...
There is one thing I will miss about Speed. I loved the live streaming of P1 and P3 with no commentating of any kind. I really enjoyed listening to the natural sounds that were produced from the F1...
Does anyone have any info on how I could stream Sky coverage for next year. I've found plenty of websites that claim to stream it, but some of them look really dodgy. I have no idea what is...
While I have no gripes with the way Speed covered the sport, I am seriously considering finding a way to stream Sky coverage from Britain next year.
None taken here either Turbot. Enjoy this weekend!
And who was it that held a gun to your head and forced you to follow this "on topic only crap thread" for the last two years?
I also want to add that thanks to everyone on this thread, we have all witnessed history. The construction of the first track specifically built for the purpose of Formula 1 racing. I never thought...
Hairy, thanks so much for all you've contributed to this thread. I have enjoyed every minute of it.
Does anyone know where I could find the latest pictures of the circuit? Only a week until FP1 and nobody seems to be posting any pictures of the finished product.
250MM......I was just asking Harry if they were adding a second coat to the paint they are adding around the edges of the racing surface. Right now it looks streaky and almost like chalk, and not up...
Hookem.....thanks for the link. After looking at that, there definitely needs to be a second coat of paint.
Hey Harry: Do you think the asphalt they are painting will get a second coat? The red really looks "streaky" and not that good to me.
Thanks for the great answer Raymond. After all these years watching, i'm still learning something new.
I guess my question is, why does the FIA require astroturf when they could just leave it asphalt? There's asphalt under the astroturf and it's got way more friction.
Does anyone know if there's a specific purpose for the strips of artificial grass? Cota isn't the only F1 track to do this, and I find it odd that they glue it down to the asphalt.
I'm not trying to stir up anything here, and they say they have cut back on shifts to finish this thing, but is anybody else getting a little nervous? In a few days we will be one month from the...
I'm thinking both the ga area and the turn 15 permanent stands will be addressed during the off season. I'm guessing the permanent stands have something to do with the amphitheater that is being...
The Western Auto scheme still stands up today as a great paint scheme!
Are the concrete pads for the mobile team buildings that the teams erect once they get there?
I hate the chase. I think it's the stupidest gimmick of all time. The main problem I've always had with Nascar's point system is there has never been a big enought point deficit between 1st and...
Well I will agree with you on one point. Nothing is getting it done against the Hendrick engines. That goes for Ford and Toyota too.
Why would I be kidding? I've read from more than one source that the most of the money RPM is getting from Ford will now be going to Penske. Richard Petty himself has said that. Any new deal they...
Jayski is reporting via Lee Spencer that Richard Petty Motorsports met with Chevrolet and RCR officials earier this week. Reportedly, Chevrolet is offering technical support via sheet metal, wind...
I just wanted to give ole Jens some props. Is he the fastest guy on the grid? No. Can he take a dog of a car and push it to the front like Alonso? No. But if you can give him a car to his...
